So many changes
Well, today marks one full week that we have lived in our new apartment. Last night Josh hung up most of my pictures and finished organizing the file cabinet. The only things we have left are books and decorations and I can't get either of those done until I get a book shelf and my accent wall is painted. It feels nice to be settling in to a place.
We have started the hunt for a good preschool. Alexander has asked multiple times daily to play with kids, he is kind of a social butterfly that way. I have three very strong contenders on the list, so now all I need to do is go visit them and meet the teachers. It's weird to be doing this when he is only almost 3, but he has shown us in so many ways that he is ready. Which brings me to my next point, potty training!! Most everyone knows that he has been going on the toilet since he was 6 months old, well today I put him in Lighting McQueen underwear and so far today he has told me every time and has had no accidents. It's not even noon yet, so I am not holding my breath.
The other exciting thing is that Josh started his new job today. I had so much fun last night putting his lunch together for him. I used to try and do it for school and work, but there was something new and proud about doing it last night. I felt like my mom as I remember her doing the same thing for my dad when I was a little girl, I even created a special spot in the frig that is dedicated to only Josh's lunches. This way I know he never forgets something I pack for him. The funny thing is Josh likes to get things ready for himself, but there just seems to be something grown up and supportive to me about serving him in this way. So today as I start to get used to being home with Alexander by myself, planning for dinner tonight without Josh and preparing for the new adventure ahead, I am sitting here smiling because I am so blessed and know without a doubt, God is good!!!
