3 Months Old

Alexander is 3 months old today. Everyone said time would go by fast, but with the lack of sleep we have gotten, these last three months have been the longest of my life.

Sorry the picture is in Black and White but I have been having trouble with the indoor light settings on our camera. This was the only way to make the picture look halfway good. He was measured and weighted today. He is now 13 lbs 8 oz and 24 inches long. That means he has gained almost one pound in a month and grown a half inch. No wonder my box of out grown closes is filling up!

So that is the Alexander excitement for today. In other news, Josh is going to DC next month. In fact, he is going on two trips in two weeks. One to Florida and then the other to DC. I am planning on going to my parents for those two weeks because I don't feel like being home alone for that long. Plus I always hear of my friends going to stay with their parents for trips like this and I have always wanted to go but couldn't because of work. Well, since my work can go with me now, I'm outta here!!!

I guess as a new mom you find joy in the simple things. Today Alexander started laughing. He laughed at me twice and Josh once. It is a very special thing and anyone who has heard the pure laugh of a child will agree there is nothing sweeter.

Weekend at Grandparents

So for the three day weekend, we decided it was time for our first family trip. We went to my parents house in Buckley Washington. We had a nice time relaxing and spending time with my parents and Kenny. One thing I had to do was get a picture of Alexander on the bear rug. We have pictures of me and my brother and sister like this, so it's kind of a tradition.

Fun at JCPennies

Meghan and I took the kids to JCPennies for pictures a couple weeks ago. Even though it was just before Alexander's nap, he did really well. If you want to see more of the pictures, email me and I will send some your way.
